The exterior of the chest bears a layer of (old) creamy white paint that has worn in areas to reveal the original 18th c faux bois painted pattern beneath
The original lock is present; however, the skeleton key has been lost along the way (as found)
The chest is of solid pine construction using dovetail construction
The chest interior is still fitted with the original candle box (scarce to find!)
Scratches, wood separation, and wear, consistent with age and use
Approximately 44.5” W x 20.25” D x 23.25” H
