19th Century Dry Scraped Swedish Cupboard
Consisting of an upper and lower piece, this handsome 4-door cupboard boasts a one-of-a-kind finish. Layers of blue-grey and creamy white paint have been meticulously dry-scraped to reveal the natural wood beneath, leaving hints behind. Accented with crown molding, raised paneled doors, and beveled trim, the upper piece opens to reveal a single shelf.
The lower doors open to reveal a single shelf on the left with 2 small drawers adorned with hand-turned wooden knobs nestled within, while the right side boasts a wide open space. The interior of the cupboard shares the same creamy white paint as found scraped away from the exterior, with the 2 drawer fronts having been dry-scraped. Ornate brass escutcheons and skeleton key are present at the door fronts.
