Antique Bitters Bottles
Green antique Dr. J.G.B. Siegert Angostura Bitters bottles sold by J.W. Wuppermann of New York, found in Ohio. These beautiful green bottles would make unique flower vases, decorative pieces for a home bar, or a wonderful addition to a curated collection of glass bottles.
The Angostura Bitters recipe was initially developed as a tincture designed to alleviate stomach ailments in 1824 by German Dr. Johann Gottlieb Benjamin Siegert, a Surgeon General in Simon Bolivar’s army in Venezuela.

Bottles are stamped with “Dr. J. G. B. Siegert & Sons” on the bottom
Each bottle measures approximately 8.25” high x 2.3” diameter

Bitters Bottle Number One: cork is missing, however a good majority of the original label is still intact around the bottle and on the underside.
Bitters Bottle Number Two: retains the original cork which is fully inserted into the bottle. Half the original label has been worn off.
Bitters Bottle Number Three: most of the original cork is intact, along with half the original label.
Bitters Bottle Number Four: retains a majority of the label, along with the original cork.
