Handmade from a combination of solid pine, oak, chestnut, and walnut veneer, this sideboard boasts a planked top and a lovely scalloped skirt and rests upon short cabriole feet, adding to its charm.

This versatile piece is the perfect size to serve as a buffet in the dining room, a console in the living room, or a cabinet in the foyer. It effortlessly combines functionality with style, ensuring your home remains organized with sophistication.

  • Found in France, circa 1780

  • Constructed utilizing pegged and mortise and tenon joinery

  • Original brass escutcheons, steeple point hinges, and simple drawer knobs are present

  • The original locking mechanisms and skeleton key are present on the cabinet’s doors

  • The sideboard has been lovingly restored and refinished multiple times over the years

  • The solid pine planked top is not original to the piece

  • The frame of the sideboard is constructed from chestnut with oak panels and book-matched walnut veneer is inset within the door panels

  • Two drawers were reconstructed at some point over the years (as found)

  • A small piece of wood has been added to the interior of one door frame to help the door close properly (as found)

  • We have scrubbed the sideboard of its original varnish and a topcoat has been applied for durability

  • No structural damage

  • Measures approximately 70.25” W x 21.125” D x 45” H
