Antique Primitive Birdcage

$0.00
Sold

One of our favorite decorative objects is undoubtedly an antique birdcage. We adore using them to display natural curiosities that we find on our travels … collected rocks, sheets of moss, air plants, a sweet taxidermy dove, and an abandoned nest with preserved eggs. Although this primitive birdcage isn’t suitable to house real birds any longer, we believe it would be a great piece to bring nature indoors.

Handmade over a century ago, this wood and wire cage has been cared for and lovingly repaired many times.

  • Found in Cape Cod; late 19th c.

  • The creamy white paint has chipped away over the years to reveal a natural gray wood tone beneath

  • Overall condition consistent with age and use

  • Approximately 19" L x 13 1/4" W x 20 1/2" H

Available for pick up, local delivery, and nationwide shipping.
