Antique Refectory Table
A handsome stretcher base refectory table from the late 18th century, found in France. The planked top is joined together utilizing pegged mortise and tenon joinery, and rests atop an apron featuring simple scalloped details and a single drawer in the front. The oak table is finished with the original rich, dark stain and bears a lovely aged patina.
Use this table as an entry table in the foyer, a tv console, desk, or table behind your sofa to add character and texture to your modern home.
One of the planks on the top has slightly separated and has lifted away, adding to the table’s character
Light scratches and stains on tabletop consistent with age and use
A few minor imperfections on the legs (see pics for details)
