Antique Victorian English Lockers

$7,500.00

A set of antique English lockers from the 19th century, once used at a gentlemen’s club, offering a remarkable blend of history and functionality. This handsome piece features six doors with beadboard paneling, complemented by iron strap hinges and latch closures, ensuring durability and style.

Showcasing straightforward lines and a timeless appeal, crown molding adorns the top, adding a touch of refinement. The chunky wooden mushroom knobs are sturdy and practical. Inside each door, you’ll find 3-5 shelves (some original and some newly replaced), most are constructed with tongue and groove detailing, providing ample storage space. The interior has (recently) been painted with a fresh coat of Benjamin Moore paint, the color Midnight Blue.

The exterior retains its original deep indigo/charcoal gray paint, which has aged beautifully and has a nice worn patina and appearance.

Three iron hooks are found on one end, perfect for hanging additional items.

Please Note: The lockers are displayed on a dining table for presentation purposes and are not attached; the table is sold separately. These versatile lockers can be used as shown on a tabletop, placed directly on the floor, or mounted as upper cabinets—likely their original intended use.

  • Found in England, dating to the mid-19th century

  • The lockers are strong, sturdy, and built to last

  • Areas of wear on the exterior add to the locker’s timeworn patina

  • Overall wear is consistent with age and use

  • Measures approximately 148” L x 18.25” D x 62.5” H
