Set of six antique pocket watch watchmaker parts dating from 1905 for Swiss and American timepieces. Pocket watches were the most common type of watch from their development in the 16th century until wristwatches became popular after World War I and were especially essential timepieces used during the railroading days in the United States. This essential set would make an excellent gift for the horologist (one who collects watches) in your life.

  1. Watch Parts Box One: Contains Waltham pocket watch Pioneer mainsprings 18 size model 1877 model 2203 .022 mainsprings from the Waltham Watch Co. The Waltham Watch Company, also known as the American Waltham Watch Co. and the American Watch Co., produced about 40 million watches, clocks, speedometers, compasses, time fuses, and other precision instruments between 1850 and 1957. Lightweight cardboard box slides open and contains several sleeves with various sizes of hands; some in original moisture proof envelopes. “Lum. Hands” handwritten on the outside of the box. Box measures approximately 5.25” L x 2.75” W x .75” W.

Watch Parts Box Two: Small dark green cloth covered light-weight cardboard box with a snap closure containing tiny corked bottles housing Quick Fit second hand assortment no. 836 blue & gilt regular & long socket hands. Original owner’s name handwritten on the outside of the box, as well as several handwritten notations on the inside cover. Box measures approximately 4.75” L x 3” W x .75” H.

Watch Parts Box Four: The American and Swiss Watch & Supply Company Cincinnati, Ohio embossed in gold lettering on the outside of this black leather double slide lock closure box. 48 tiny corked bottles contained within holding Genuine Swiss Stems. The American and Swiss Watch & Supply Company was started in 1927, changing its name to Cas-Ker Co. in 1937. Box measures approximately 7.3” L x 4.75” x 1” H.

  5. Watch Parts Box Five: Leather box with a double slide lock closure contains 150 corked bottles containing balance staffs for Waltham, Elgin, Hamp., Ill., Col., South Bend, Ham., Rock., S. T., N.Y.S., Trent., U.S. and Howard movements, copyrighted 1906. Original label on the outside of the box reading L. H. Keller & Co. Importers & MFRS. of Watch Materials, Tools, Files & Supplies, Nassau St. New York has partially worn off. Box measures approximately 13.625” L x 7” W x 1” H.
