Barn Door, 39.75” x 72.75”
Weathered barn door salvaged from a storage building tucked behind a church in the French countryside. Primitive in design, the front of the door is dotted with hand-forged iron nails and bears a small wooden cross at the top. Lean against the wall as an art piece at the end of a hall or use to separate two spaces by adding sliding barn door hardware.
Salvaged in France, 18th century
Front of door features the original white paint which has weathered over time
Back of door shows a lovely aged patina
No hardware remains
Tree branch “handle” is attached to the back of the door
A wood panel has been added to the lower portion of the front of the door for stability; one panel is missing (as found)
Lower center of the back of the door shows some wood loss (as found)
Wood separation present, with overall condition consistent with age and use
Approximately 39.75” W x 72.75” H x 3” D
