  • Old newspaper dating to 1940 has been stuffed between the basket and demijohn bottle to prevent movement (as found)

  • Includes woven lid (rare)

  • A few damaged areas where the oak splints have torn away, consistent with age and use

  • There is a small chip in the upper lip of the demijohn’s opening

  • Felt pads have been affixed to the bottom of the basket to prevent surface damage (as found)

  • Approximately 14” L x 13 1/3” W x 21 1/4” H
