Vintage Galvanized Garden Trug

$0.00
Sold

Traditionally used to gather flowers and fresh vegetables from the garden, the trug dates back to Anglo-Saxon times and originates from the word “trog”, meaning a wooden boat-shaped vessel. Although originally hollowed out of a solid piece of wood, the trug has evolved over the years, and those crafted of galvanized metal, such as this one, are not uncommon.

Whether used indoors or out, we think this unique garden trug would make a wonderful centerpiece filled with flowers and other natural elements.

  • Found in England, circa 1900

  • Handcrafted from galvanized metal with wood

  • A few dents and areas of rust are present

  • Trug is worn in a few areas, showcasing a weathered patina, consistent with age and use

  • Approximately 18” L x 12” D x 5 1/2” H (12” H including handle)

Available for pick up, local delivery, and nationwide shipping.
